I did a Master’s in Education at the University of Phoenix, but I’m not sure if they have a Bachelor’s program. I will warn you, though, that there is a LOT of time you’ll have to spend in the classroom. At least for the Master’s you have to do 100 hours of in-class observations in the grade and subject you’d like to teach, plus you need to do a semester of student teaching. This is in addition to your online coursework and they suggest that you not be employed elsewhere during your semester of student teaching, which means you’ll essentially be working full time for no pay for 4-5 months. Make sure you plan for this. NC should accept this type of degree since the school is accredited, but you can always check with the certification office if you’re hesitant.
